PJ`S All Natural Farms is an all natural 100% chemical free farm that grows by organic sustainable practices.The CSA is 16-20 weeks may be more or less depending on the growing season. Our CSA is a no work required CSA share but CSA members are encouraged to come out and spend a day working on the farm and learning where there food comes from! CSA members receive a 10% discount on purchases at our market stand plus we offer a referral bones for our members who have friends and family who sign up. What's a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Members or shareholders of the farm pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation and farmer's salary. In return, they receive shares in the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land. Members also share in risks, including poor harvest due to unfavorable weather or pests.
This will be our sixth year for CSA. Program. This kind of "subscription" program allows us to offer customers "shares" in our farm. Subscribers from the area and get the "cream of the crop" all season long in the form of weekly shares of veggies and fruits and free-range eggs. . We offer shares with fruits, vegetables and, eggs. Produce and egg shares; produce only shares and a smaller share with or without eggs.
Supporting local farmers through CSA subscriptions is one way to ensure the growth of a small-farm economy, which in turn ensures the availability of wholesome, local, fresh naturally grown food.
